The Story of this Artwork

Imagine a comet so large that it dwarfs small moons, one made up of many frozen gasses and  a thick porous crust of carbon that is constantly set ablaze by solar winds as if it were a fireproof sponge hurdling through space spewing flame and vapor in its wake.

Now imagine if there were a lawless city inside it nearly impossible to reach without teleportation. a city that only the greatest pilots in the galaxy dare to attempt to land there.

Colossus Comet was inspired by a short story idea I had about an outlaw colony inside of a supermassive comet and the hardest space race in the universe. a story within my writing universe The Fractal Realms.

This idea is still in its infancy but it has given birth to a whole new avenue for my writing to go down, one that I am excited to explore in the future.
